MNN Features: Blogz
The MNN blogs module will make blogs that are usable by anyone. The user-generated blogs are built off the profile page (the dashboard) of the user. A publisher (reporter, columnist) can have his or her own blogs as well. The blogs can have commenting, a five-star rating system, and can include social book marking with digg, Yahoo, Google, Delicious, or Technorati, which are built into the system.
User ID photos (a user icon or avatar photo) can be included. The blogs like everything else on MNN can be set for administrative moderation or left for the policing of your users with the flagging system. Everywhere in the MNN site where content is entered we have rich text with bolding and emoticons built right into the page so people can really annotate and link. All the text tools (word processing) are built into the page(s). The blogs can be syndicated. Blogs can automatically generate RSS feeds for syndication.
Just as a note, any of these features can be turned on or off at the discression of the site administrators.
